Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota invites applications for a Patient Care Assistant (PCA). You will work with registered nurses and healthcare professionals to provide safe, compassionate patient care, following a structured training program.

No prior healthcare experience is required, as comprehensive paid training is provided. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, documenting vital signs in the EHR, and maintaining a safe care environment while collaborating with the care

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age prior to start date.
Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English.
Ability to follow written and verbal directions.
Additional Qualifications: 12 college credits or HS diploma with Nursing Assistant training.

Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living, including hygiene, mobility, nutrition support, and comfort needs.
Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, and other patient information in the electronic health record (EHR).
Support a safe patient care environment through adherence to established safety practices and protocols.
Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team to support care delivery.
