Job summary

Mayo Clinic is hiring Patient Care Assistants (PCA) in Minnesota. You will work alongside registered nurses and healthcare professionals to provide safe, compassionate patient care through a structured training program.

No prior healthcare experience is required initially, with comprehensive paid training and ongoing guidance from experienced staff. Various shifts are available, with a sign-on bonus for full-time hires and opportunities to interview onsite.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English.
• Completion of 12 college credits or a High School diploma/GED with Nursing Assistant training or equivalent preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers certification either held or provided during orientation (AHA/Red Cross).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living (hygiene, mobility, nutrition support, comfort).
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, and other patient information in the EHR.
• Support a safe patient care environment by following safety practices and protocols.
• Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare team to support care delivery.
