Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking Patient Care Assistants (PCA) to collaborate with registered nurses and the healthcare team in caring for hospitalized patients. Through a structured training program, you will learn to provide safe, compassionate care and support activities of daily living.

No prior healthcare experience is required for entry, and full-time positions with varied shifts are available. A $2,500 sign-on bonus applies to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old and able to read, write, and understand English.
• 12 college credits or High School diploma/GED with Nursing Assistant training preferred.
• Able to adapt to unpredictable patient care situations.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including hygiene, mobility, nutrition support, and comfort.
• Obtain and document vital signs, intake/output in the EHR.
• Maintain a safe patient care environment following safety protocols.
• Communicate with patients, families and healthcare team to support care.
