Job summary

Shriner's Children's Chicago seeks a PRN Patient Care Assistant to support the Inpatient Unit. You will work 8-hour shifts on an as-needed basis, assisting with direct patient care under R.N. supervision and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires a CNA, CPR, and pediatric experience, with a focus on compassionate, family-centered care for children up to age 18. This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to contribute to excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association.
• One year of pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists in patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
• Assists with wound and skin care; keeps unit stocked and organized.
• Performs delegated nursing activities and helps with patient comfort and safety.
