Job summary

Shriners Children\'s in Sacramento, CA seeks a Patient Care Assistant to support the Inpatient Unit under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

The role provides direct patient care, assists with wound care, maintains stock, and helps with routine tasks. CNA or nursing assistant experience and BLS certification are required. Pediatric experience is preferred, with a compassionate, team-oriented approach to pediatric patient care.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA or one year of nursing assistant experience.
• BLS certification is required or preferred.
• Pediatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
• Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.
