Shriners Children's Chicago seeks a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant to join the Inpatient Unit. The role supports pediatric patients under RN supervision, performing direct care and routine tasks in a compassionate, family-centered team.

Hours are 56 hours bi-weekly (0.7 FTE) from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with an every other weekend and holiday rotation. The successful candidate will hold CNA/certification and CPR, with pediatric experience preferred.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) credential required.
• CPR certification from American Heart Association required.
• One year of pediatric experience preferred.

Job Description

Job Description Shriners Children's Chicago has an opportunity for a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant in our Inpatient Unit. Join a team of professionals committed to improving children's lives. Hours: This part-time position is 56 hours bi-weekly (0.7 FTE) and the hours are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with an every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
• Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
• Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma / GED
• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association
• One year of pediatric experience

The pay range for this position is $18.65 - $27.98. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
