Shriners Children’s Chicago is seeking a Part-Time Patient Care Assistant to join the Inpatient Unit. This role supports Registered Nurses by delivering direct patient care and maintaining a compassionate, family-centered environment for pediatric patients.

The position is 48 hours bi-weekly (0.6 FTE) with shifts 2:00 pm–10:30 pm, including every other weekend and holiday rotations. A CNA credential and CPR certification are required, with at least one year of pediatric experience.

Hours

This part-time position is 48 hours bi-weekly (0.6 FTE) and the hours are 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm with an every other weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• The Patient Care Assistant assists in the delivery of patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• The PCA provides direct patient care and performs routine tasks as assigned.
• Must consistently demonstrate caring and appropriate behavior when interacting with patients and families.
• Assists with wound and skin care, keeps unit and work areas stocked, and provides delegated nursing care activities as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
• Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from American Heart Association
• One year of pediatric experience

The pay range for this position is $18.65 - $27.98.

Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
