Mass General Brigham is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to support the Respiratory Acute Care and General Medicine units on a rotating shift schedule in Boston. The role involves assisting patients with daily living activities, vital signs, documentation, and collaboration with nurses and physicians.

This full-time position requires up to 36 hours weekly, on-site work at 273 Charles Street, with weekend rotations and holiday coverage.

Qualificações

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Licenses: BLS and Nursing Assistant/Certification as listed.
• Experience: 0-1 year in patient care/elder care preferred.
• Knowledge: medical terminology, strong patient service, ability to lift up to 35 lbs, proficient with electronic medical records.

Responsabilidades

• Performs patient care-related duties and clinical functions as assigned, including vital signs, etc.
• Documents height, weight, intake/output in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Assists with feeding and meal setup; helps with nourishment as needed.
• Ensures patient rooms are stocked, cleaned, and prepared for care.
• Assists with admitting and discharging patients and with team communication.
• Fosters teamwork and communicates with nursing staff effectively.
