Job summary

The General Hospital Corporation in Boston, MA seeks a Patient Care Assistant I (PCA) to support daily living activities, vital signs, and patient comfort on a rotating schedule. The role includes day and night shifts, weekends and holidays as necessary, in a 27-bed unit serving diverse patient populations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in patient care/elder care 0-1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, eating).
• Take vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration.
• Assist RNs and physicians with examinations and treatments as required.
• Document vital signs, intake/output, and other observations in EHR.
• Stock, clean, and organize patient rooms and equipment.
