WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a part-time Certified Nurse Aide to provide direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vitals, and support patient safety and comfort in a fast-paced unit.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accurate documentation, and adherence to infection control policies, with a focus on a family-centered approach to care during night shifts at the Morgantown campus.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification in Basic Life Support or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire date.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist in direct patient care with basic physical tasks as directed by the RN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living and bed making.
• Transport patients and escorts for tests and discharge.
• Perform routine tests (glucose monitoring where permitted) and maintain quality logs.
• Obtain and record vital signs and intake/output measurements.
• Provide respiratory support and assist with oxygen administration.
• Support nutrition discussions and monitor patient comfort.
• Maintain a clean environment and report equipment issues.
• Support routine unit operations and effective communication.
