Guidehouse is hiring a Patient Account Representative in Birmingham, AL. The role is 100% onsite, Monday to Friday, within 50 miles of the office. You will serve as the main contact for patient billing support and perform mail-related tasks while assisting with collections and payment arrangements.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and 0-2+ years in healthcare or customer service. Prior exposure to patient accounts systems and billing software is a plus.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required; healthcare or customer service experience valued.
• Ability to handle patient billing questions with tact and accuracy.
• Fast, accurate data entry and familiarity with healthcare systems.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, sort, open, and distribute mail as a primary duty.
• Scan documents and forward mail to other departments as needed.
• Handle patient requests such as sending copies of bills.
• Serve as a contact for patients on billing, balances, and options.
• Research and resolve account issues and posting discrepancies.
• Communicate professionally with patients and healthcare teams.
• Review accounts, update records, and document actions taken.
• Assist with collections and payment arrangements.
• Provide confidential, high-quality customer service.
