Ashley Addiction Treatment Center is seeking a Patient Accounts Specialist to maintain patient financial accounts during treatment, monitor insurance changes, and coordinate with staff to keep everyone informed of account details and authorizations.

The role requires strong communication, accuracy in billing, and experience with health insurance workflows, with a focus on ensuring smooth financial operations for patients and the organization.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma and 2 years in an office setting.
• 1-2 years of health insurance experience, including revenue cycle basics.
• Typing and computer skills with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Excellent telephone and communication skills; ability to de-escalate.
• Good arithmetic skills and basic financial reporting understanding.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients' financial chart for billing/accounts receivable.
• Enter charges and adjustments; verify paperwork and guarantor.
• Discuss insurance coverage with patients and updates with staff.
• Handle patient paperwork including therapy forms and appeals.
• Manage pharmacy charges and coordinate with nursing/medical team.
• Process co-pays, deposits, and daily patient payments.
• Prepare monthly reports and alert management to trends.
