MedMark Treatment Centers is seeking a diligent Patient Access Representative / Patient Account Representative to perform billing and account-management tasks in a clinical outpatient setting. The role emphasizes verification of invoices, third-party billing, and problem resolution to support timely payments.

The ideal candidate has experience with Medicaid, PAC, and commercial insurance, strong customer service, and proficient basic PC skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; at least 2 years’ experience in a medical office setting.
• 2–4 years’ experience with Medicaid and PAC and commercial insurance (preferred).
• Excellent customer service skills and professional public presentation skills, including telephone etiquette.
• Knowledge of medical insurance claims procedures, documentation and records maintenance.
• Knowledge of medical billing procedures, gather and compile data into reports.
• Proficient in basic PC skills; Word and Excel preferred.

Responsabilités

• Review, maintain, and process fiscal/account records and transactions related to patient’s accounts.
• Verify insurance benefits and billing information by terminal and/or telephone; annotate accounts.
• Contact third party payers for payment post billing.
• Resolve issues with payment and billing, authorization process.
• Reconcile daily money collected.
• Forward information to expedite payment.
• Maintain accurate accounts and demographics; ensure proper signatures.
• Monitor authorizations and claim rejections; ensure records consistency.
• Manage revenue cycle, production logs, balances and collections for self-pay clients.
• Backup Receptionist as needed (check in patients, collect payments, answer phones, data entry).
• Other duties as assigned.
