Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is seeking a Billing Clerk to act as a liaison between departments and patient accounting staff, resolving billing issues and maintaining positive interdepartmental relationships.

You will work with Epic and other systems to handle refunds, charge corrections, credit/debit memos, and payment reversals while meeting department metrics. 40 hours per week; on-site role; High School degree and 1 year experience required.

Qualifications

• High School degree or equivalent required.
• 1 year work experience preferred in a billing or healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between departments and patient accounting staff to resolve billing issues.
• Resolve refunds, charge corrections, credits memos, and payment reversals.
• Participate in assigned work queues for risk management, MyChart, and financial counselor requests.
