Job summary

MUSC Community Physicians (MCP) is part of MUSC that serves rural health networks across South Carolina. The Billing Sponsor Collector Specialist handles payments for vendor invoices following internal policies and works within the MCP Revenue Cycle team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with at least one year of customer service experience and familiarity with financial procedures; hospital information systems experience is a plus. This is an employee position with regular hours.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED), with 1 year of customer service experience.
• Ability to interpret and apply financial procedures and regulations preferred.
• Previous experience with hospital information systems or word processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and processes payments for vendor invoices and other financial obligations in accordance with internal accounting policies.
• Reviews purchase orders, statements, and invoices to verify amounts owed.
• Maintains and reconciles accounts payable ledger.
• Responds to vendor inquiries and resolves discrepancies in billings and payments.
