Foundation Health is seeking a Billing Specialist in Fairbanks, AK to coordinate patient billing and collections across multiple areas. You will work with staff and physician offices to ensure timely reimbursement and accurate posting.

The role requires knowledge of patient financial services, ability to manage multiple tasks, and strong communication skills; full-time schedule is 40 hours weekly with day shifts, Monday to Friday.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED; relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in patient financial services or insurance collections.
• Ability to multitask with minimal supervision; strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Process payments, adjustments, claims, refunds, denials and payment plans accurately.
• Reconciling balances and pursuing payments with payers and staff.
• Research payments and denials to correct errors and maximize reimbursement.
• Build relationships with internal units and educate on payment issues.
• Respond to calls and resolve billing and accounting issues for patients and providers.
• Help reduce accounts receivable and document data in systems.
• Communicate policies and issues to payers per procedures.
