Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with four years of office experience or training beyond high school.
• Experience with explanations of benefits (EOB) and patient billing is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service, and cash handling skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Communicate payment expectations and enforce university payment policies with patients and students.
• Collect deposits or payments and promote timely fee collections before services.
• Maintain accurate account entries and perform reimbursements and adjustments with proper authorization.
• Respond to patient inquiries and resolve billing concerns, including inquiries from third party payers.
• Operate Axium and other systems to update records and prepare correspondence with patients and guarantors.
• Provide training to staff on patient accounting procedures and ensure compliance with policies.
