Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is seeking a Patient Benefits Coordinator to support outreach and enrollment, handling patient registration, insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and benefits enrollment for clinic and outreach sites.

The role requires strong English communication, bilingual ability (Spanish/English or Haitian Creole/English), proficiency with Excel and eligibility systems, and the capacity to work with limited supervision in a busy environment.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma or Equivalency required.
• Strong computer skills including Excel and familiarity with eligibility systems.
• Minimum 2 years benefits experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Able to work with indirect supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Reviews insurance eligibility for patients at appointments or walk-ins.
• Enter insurance and demographic data into databases accurately.
• Complete Medicare Secondary Payer forms for eligible patients.
• Refer patients to benefits coordinator for pending/terminated benefits.
• Complete MassHealth/Free care applications as needed.
• Create MSI tracking numbers and medical records in the EMR.
• Update registration records with benefits information and coverage.
