Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program is seeking a full-time Patient Benefits Coordinator to support clinical and clerical operations at our Pine Street Inn Men’s and Women’s Clinics in the Greater Boston area. The role includes greeting patients, verifying insurance, processing registrations and benefits, and assisting with daily clinic operations.

Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred; strong computer skills and MMIS familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Strong computer skills including Excel and MMIS familiarity.
• 2 years of benefits experience in a clinical environment preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
• Ability to work with indirect supervision successfully.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills (English).

Responsabilités

• Greets patients at clinic window and assists with patient flow.
• Handles incoming clinic phone calls and directs as needed.
• Schedules and checks in patients for appointments.
• Reviews insurance eligibility for scheduled and walk-in patients.
• Provides patient benefits assistance and processes required documentation.
• Enters insurance and demographic data into the electronic medical record accurately.
