Job summary

Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Patient Relations Representative to join our team in Kendall, FL. The role focuses on reviewing patient balances for accurate billing and addressing inquiries from staff and patients related to balances.

You will resolve billing issues, post adjustments, and handle patient communications.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1 year of related experience or equivalent education/experience.
  • Healthcare environment or healthcare claims experience is a strong plus.
  • Previous remote work history is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve patient billing issues via Smartsheet or patient collections queue; post self-pay adjustments.
  • Make and receive patient calls; maintain proper claim collection codes; monitor payment plans; respond to disputes.

Gastro Health is seeking a Full-Time Patient Relations Representative to join our team!

The Patient Advocate Specialist will review patient balances to ensure accurate billing and to address any concerns or questions posed by care center staff or patients relating to those billed balances.

Duties you will be responsible for:

- Production: Meets Quantity (100%) and Quality Required Benchmark (90% - To be evaluated through audits)

  • Able to effectively complete Patient Advocate tasks which include resolve patient billing issues received via Smartsheet or a patient collections queue, posting self-pay adjustments, making and receiving patient phone calls, maintaining proper claim collection codes, monitoring patient payment plans and replying to TSI disputes.

Minimum Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1 year of related experience, or any combination of education or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills
    and abilities to perform the job.
  • Experience in a healthcare environment or a healthcare claims environment is a strong plus.
  • Previous remote work history
