Job summary

EvergreenHealth is seeking an Admissions Clerk for the Surgical Center in Kirkland, WA. You will greet patients, perform pre-registration checks in the information system, prepare charts, and handle cashier duties, acting as a liaison among patients, families, physicians, nurses, vendors and staff.

Responsibilities include opening the facility each day, enrolling patients, guiding them to pre-op areas, and ensuring timely arrivals, while collecting co-pays and maintaining accurate receipts.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
• Data entry experience.
• 2 years of Admissions/clinic experience (desired).
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology (desired).

Responsibilities

• Opens the facility for staff daily.
• Greets patient and family upon arrival and reviews pre-registration data for accuracy.
• Escorts patient to pre-operative area and notifies admitting nurse.
• Monitors arrival times and helps locate physicians as needed.
• Collects co-pays and prepares receipts.
