Job summary

EvergreenHealth's Surgical Center is seeking a dedicated admissions support representative to manage patient admissions, greet patients on arrival, and enter data into the information system. The role includes preparing charts, handling cashier duties, and acting as liaison for patients, families, physicians, nurses, vendors, and staff.

• 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
• Data entry experience.

Responsibilities

• Opens the facility for staff daily.
• Greets patient and family members on arrival at ESC and reviews pre-registration data in the system for accuracy prior to printing face sheet, labels and arm band.
• Escorts patient to pre-operative room and notifies admitting nurse of patient's arrival.
• Monitors scheduled arrival times of patients, following up on patients who have not arrived at scheduled time and assists PCF in locating physicians who have not arrived at start-time of surgery.
• Collects co-pays on day of surgery and over-the-counter payments on accounts, preparing clear and accurate receipts for ESC.
