Northfield Hospital + Clinics is seeking an Admissions Representative to interview patients on admission, collect essential information, secure signatures, and prepare patient data for hospital departments. This role also involves entering data, scanning documents, and supporting newborn and other accounts with accuracy and timeliness.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, strong computer and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 15 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Good computer skills required.
• Excellent verbal communication and professional phone skills required.
• Healthcare terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients to collect demographic and insurance data; enter into the system.
• Review pre-admissions for accuracy and completeness.
• Obtain signatures on consents, forms, and Medicare Rights.
• Scan and attach documents to patient accounts.
• Register or transfer newborns and clinical accounts promptly.
• Perform clerical duties including filing, mail, and statements scanning.
• Respond to Emergency Codes appropriately.
