Job summary

Mountain View Hospital is seeking an Admissions Clerk to support outpatient admissions. You will collect patient information, enter it into the hospital system, and ensure patients are aware of Urgent Care policies.

You will interview patients and representatives and route information to ancillary departments. The role requires the ability to maintain a high accuracy rate and work with hospital information systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or higher; BLS certification is preferred.
• Experience: 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Ability to use hospital information systems and basic computer functions.
• Excellent reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Arrange for efficient admission of outpatient testing or procedures.
• Interview incoming patients and enter admission information into computer.
• Distribute information to ancillary departments and ensure policy awareness.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate in admissions quarterly.
