Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Computer and data entry skills required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Admissions, physician office, switchboard and/or accounting/cashiering experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register/admit patients and manage admission related paperwork.
• Operate hospital switchboard and assist with communications.
• Schedule and pre-admission activities for patients.
• Obtain required signatures and explain hospital forms to patients.
• Perform routine cashiering and direct patients to appropriate departments.
• Answer phones and distribute paperwork; prepare basic statistical reports.
• May perform other clerical duties for the department.
