Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• One or more years’ experience in healthcare admissions required, preferably in mental health or related field.

Responsibilities

• Greet and search new patients and those transporting patients upon arrival.
• Review admissions against approved criteria and procedures.
• Schedule assessments of voluntary patients.
• Respond promptly to inquiry calls.
• Handle data entry and phone duties with accuracy.
• Gather clinical and demographic data from patients and sources.
• Assist patients and families in seeking treatment.
• Register patients into assigned programs.
• Complete admission paperwork and notify staff of arrivals/transfers.
• Coordinate with referral sources and transportation for patients.
• Maintain positive, empathetic, professional attitude toward customers.
• Refer inquiries to appropriate agencies when needed.
