Responsibilities

• Assumes accountability for assigned new admissions to ensure collectability of accounts including initiating pre-certification and verification of benefits.
• Acts as a liaison with insurance companies and patients on assigned accounts.
• Ensures that all patients admitted directly or through the health system Level II trauma center are processed accurately.
• Responsible for hospital's first impression while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Ensures collectability of patient accounts through admissions process verifying and/or securing all information needed for the collection process.
