Job summary

RiseMe is seeking a PRN Admissions Specialist to support assessment, triage, admissions, and financial screening in a behavioral health setting. You will conduct telephone screenings to place clients in appropriate programs, obtain records, and alert staff to issues impacting treatment.

You will work 8-hour shifts 8am–8pm, with some weekends and evenings, while protecting patient confidentiality under HIPAA and coordinating with the UM and Finance teams as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years direct patient care experience in a behavioral health setting.
• License/Certification: LMSW, LCSW, RN, LPC or LCSW.
• Preferred: Master’s Degree or RN with BSN.
• Cerner, TIER, Xferall experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessment/triage functions.
• Conduct initial telephone screening of potential patients/clients for program placement.
• Arrange and obtain outside medical records.
• Alert staff to special problems affecting treatment.
• Perform admissions functions and review documents with clients.
• Assess financial viability for admission and interpret insurance benefits.
• Coordinate with UM and Finance departments.
• Protect patient confidentiality and PHI in accordance with policies.
