Virginia Heart is seeking a professional Patient Account Representative - Self Pay in Falls Church, VA to follow up on past due balances and set up payment plans. Responsibilities include interacting with patients and representatives, processing payments, and using the EPIC system to manage self-pay accounts.

The ideal candidate will have healthcare billing experience, CPT/ICD-10 knowledge, proficiency in Excel/Word, and strong communication and time management skills.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPT and ICD-10 CM coding criteria and guidelines preferred
• EPIC experience preferred
• Minimum of 1-year direct experience in healthcare billing and claims management
• DME billing and collection experience preferred
• Knowledge of third-party payers required

Responsabilidades

• Reviews delinquent accounts records and follows up on outstanding balances.
• Reviews outstanding accounts in queue and maintains logs of balances collected.
• Maintains tickler file of accounts and follows up by telephone and correspondence.
• Answers inquiries from patients, insurance carriers, and offices in a timely manner.
• Expert in using the claims and billing system to its fullest capacity.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Manager or Assistant Manager
