Variety Care is seeking a Patient Account Representative in Billing to manage self-pay patient accounts, verify documentation, and apply financial assistance programs. You will serve as a primary contact for patients, helping them understand balances, available payment options, and eligibility for assistance.

You will collaborate with Revenue Cycle staff to improve collections, ensure accurate self-pay records, and support compliant billing practices in an office-based environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of customer service in an office or healthcare setting preferred.
• Experience with patient accounts, collections or financial assistance is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Manage self-pay patient accounts and ensure accuracy of billing documents.
• Assist patients with financial assistance applications and payment options.
• Respond to patient inquiries about balances, insurance, and financial responsibilities.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle staff to resolve denials, credit balances, and discrepancies.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and accurate records in EMR and billing systems.
• Support process improvement initiatives and meet productivity and quality targets.
