Qualifications

• 1–2 years in hospital billing/collections or customer service
• 2–4 years in hospital/medical setting for billing/collections or customer service
• Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR) or HFMA CPAR preferred

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, guarantors, agencies and third party payers to resolve issues
• Assist with billing, payment posting and reimbursement issues
• Explain financial responsibility options to patients/guarantors
• Establish payment agreements with patients
• Initiate financial assistance applications for management approval
• Follow written policies and procedures and adhere to standards
