Job summary

Staffmark is hiring a Patient Accounts Representative in Knoxville, TN to process insurance and patient payments, support revenue cycle operations, and maintain accurate payment records.

You will balance batches, post denials, and generate daily reports while collaborating with the team to ensure timely cash posting and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months of medical billing experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of payment posting and insurance denials.
• Strong computer and data entry skills.
• Experience with CRM software, order processing systems or customer databases is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process insurance and patient payments electronically and manually.
• Post payment batches and denials within established timelines.
• Balance payment batches against daily deposits.
• Maintain daily control reports and production logs.
• Follow established policies and procedures.
• Participate in team and department meetings.
• Communicate payment issues or unusual situations to leadership.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
