Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital is seeking a Patient Account Representative to review and process insurance claims for reimbursement and to follow up on related correspondence or corrected billing. You will also handle department calls and collaborate with coworkers in a fast-paced setting.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, strong customer service skills, basic computer skills, and experience with medical insurance.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must be a team player.
• Must have basic computer knowledge and ability to type.
• Meditech and Cerner systems experience preferred.
• Must be able to multi-task & perform effectively & efficiently in a fast-paced & high-volume environment.
• Needs to have a good understanding of medical insurance.
• Minimum of 1-year previous hospital or medical office medical insurance experience.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
