Birmingham Gastroenterology is seeking an organized front desk/medical practice administrator to verify patient information, manage insurance cards and eligibility, collect payments, and ensure all forms are completed in the EMR and PatientLink systems.

The role includes checking in patients, updating referrals, and maintaining courteous, professional communication with patients throughout the visit.

Competenze

Verify patient names and DOB in EMR systems.
Scan and attach insurance cards accurately for billing.
Update policy with new insurance cards and run eligibility.
Enter referrals and PCP information into the system.
Collect co-pays and outstanding balances at check-in.
Ensure required paperwork is completed on PatientLink and EMR before check-in.

Mansioni

Verify patient name accuracy in the PM system.
Confirm DOB with patient at arrival and correct if needed.
Scan front and back insurance cards into the PM system.
Update policy and run insurance eligibility for new cards.
Verify active referrals from PCP and enter visit/authorization details.
Collect co-pays/deductibles and arrange payment plans if needed.
Ensure patients completed all paperwork on PatientLink and EMR before proceeding.
