Job summary

Community Health in Rutland, VT is seeking a Patient Access Center Specialist-MA to triage calls, answer clinical questions within scope, prepare med refills, and assist with scheduling urgent specialist appointments. You will scan paperwork into the EMR and coordinate with practices to maintain data quality.

Qualifications

• Certified MA accepted or non-certified MA accepted.
• Medical Assistant training is a plus.
• One year of professional experience preferred, preferably in an office setting.
• Lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls with excellent customer service.
• Schedule patients within the provided algorithm.
• Serve as clinical resource for scheduling, triage and prescription refill questions.
• Take first call for triage and refill related questions.
• Scan all appropriate paperwork into the EMR.
• Collaborate with practices to ensure data in the EMR is accessible and standardised.
• Provide directory information to internal and external inquirers.
• Maintain professional conduct at all times.
• Be knowledgeable of all departments and services available in the facility.
