Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Patient Access Team Lead in Springfield, MO. You will train staff, audit work, and oversee end-of-day logs and the co-pay queue while ensuring accurate account handling.

Responsibilities include correcting accounts, merging duplicates, registering patients, and verifying demographics and insurance information. Requires a High School Diploma and 2 years of customer service; insurance follow-up and medical coding experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2 years customer service experience required.
• Proficient computer skills and basic insurance terminology are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Train and assist in developing training materials for the team.
• Audit work and follow end-of-day logs and co-pay queue.
• Perform corrections on patient accounts and merge duplicate accounts.
• Provide coverage for the Patient Access team and assist with patient registration, demographics verification, and insurance validation.
• Handle money collection, posting, and balancing at end of day.
• Support supervisor with special projects as needed.
