Job summary

CommonSpirit Health in Prescott Valley is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the patient intake process in our clinic, guiding check-in/out, data collection, payments, insurance validation, scheduling, and referrals.

You will lead daily access staff, provide orientation and ongoing training, and ensure adherence to safety, privacy, and regulatory requirements while delivering compassionate, efficient service to patients and families.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate General Studies/GED.
• Two years of business process experience in hospital or medical clinic e.g. Patient Access, Insurance.
• Authorization, Patient Financial Services, Patient Accounting, or Patient Scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates daily patient access staff assignments, distribution of workload and follow up on tasks to ensure completion.
• Conducts orientation and training of newly hired staff.
• Conducts staff continuing education and training. Provides guidance and coaching to ensure staff members are familiar and compliant with established departmental goals, safety and security practices and procedures and pertinent local, state and federal regulations
• Uses technical knowledge to support the Patient Access (Admitting) department management and staff to ensure consistent understanding of established operating practices
