Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is seeking a Patient Access Representative to manage the patient intake process in our clinic, adhering to established guidelines to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

You will interact with patients in person and by phone, handling check-in/out, data collection, payments, insurance validation, scheduling, referrals and authorizations, and communicating clearly with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience is required.
• Knowledge of insurance, billing and medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient check-in and check-out.
• Collect data and payments from patients.
• Validate insurance and schedule appointments.
• Process referrals and authorizations.
• Explain patient financial responsibilities to patients and guarantors.
