CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center - Bergan Mercy seeks a Patient Access Team Lead to oversee hospital-based access operations and coordinate workflows across emergency, admitting, and registration departments.

You will mentor staff, resolve complex insurance and patient account issues, and ensure regulatory compliance while maintaining a focus on patient experience and efficient registration processes.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in patient access, healthcare registration, admitting, or related hospital-based role required.
• Prior experience in senior/lead capacity within patient access or registration.
• Experience supporting Emergency Department, main registration, or admitting workflows.

Responsabilités

• Provide operational leadership for hospital-based access areas including emergency, admitting, and registration.
• Escalate and resolve complex insurance, authorization, and patient account issues.
• Guide and mentor Patient Access Representatives, Financial Counselors, and eligibility staff.
• Monitor workflows, reduce delays in patient care, and communicate with clinical teams and revenue cycle partners.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA and other regulatory requirements.
