UCI Health is seeking a patient registration and scheduling specialist to support surgical scheduling and patient inquiries. You will verify funding sources, coordinate registrations, and respond to questions from patients and providers.

The role requires familiarity with hospital registration workflows, medical terminology, and insurance plan interpretations. Weekend or evening shifts may be required, with travel to off-site physician practices when needed.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience with computer registration and registration scheduling system
• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate general understanding of medical terminology
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Must be able to travel to off site physician practices
• Minimum one (1) year recent experience (within past two (2) years) registering patients in a hospital or clinic, working as a Medical Assistant, or working in medical billing
• General knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codes
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated experience using MS Office
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to interpret and understand various medical insurance plans and make accurate determinations regarding coverage
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
