UCI Health is seeking a patient registration and surgical scheduling specialist to obtain authorizations, verify funding, and schedule surgeries. You will respond to patient inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure accurate insurance determinations.

The role requires strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent communication, and readiness to travel for off-site practices. Ideal candidates have experience with hospital registrations, MS Office, and Epic, with the ability to work weekends,

Formación

• Experience with computer registration and registration scheduling system.
• General understanding of medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Demonstrated customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Must be able to travel to off site physician practices.
• Minimum one year recent experience registering patients in a hospital or clinic, working as a Medical Assistant, or working in medical billing.
• General knowledge of ICD9 and CPT codes.
• Demonstrated experience using MS Office.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
• Ability to interpret and understand various medical insurance plans and make accurate determinations regarding coverage.
