Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital in Omaha, NE is seeking a supervisor to oversee Patient Access & Admitting scheduling, registration, discharge, and related posting services across clinic and hospital locations.

The role leads Patient Access Specialists, ensures efficient workflows, and collaborates with nurses and physicians to uphold high-quality patient care and service standards, while managing time and staffing in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in business, healthcare, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Physician and/or Hospital front-office setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Experience with software applications in computerized patient records.

Responsibilities

• Oversees Patient Access and Admitting operations on-site and off-site for BTNRH Clinics and Hospitals.
• Provides orientation and ongoing training to Patient Access Specialists and clinical Access team members.
• Ensures registration and scheduling functions are efficient and customer-focused.
• Supports staffing planning, performance coaching, and issue resolution with leadership.
