Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a supervisor for the Pre-Service Center to oversee daily operations and staff performance. This role supports scheduling, preregistration, insurance verification and financial clearance while ensuring accurate patient data and billing flows are maintained.

The position emphasizes leadership in revenue cycle processes, problem resolution and delivering a positive patient experience across all encounters.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a multi-physician medical practice or facility billing/business office related to revenue cycle management.
• 3-5 years’ experience in a multi-physician medical practice or facility billing/business office related to revenue cycle management (including staff supervision).
• Experience operating PC and using software applications.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, evaluates work, monitors time and implements corrective actions.
• Diagnoses and resolves root process, payer and system issues impacting revenue cycle objectives.
• Leads special projects, delegates tasks, measures results and reports to management.
• Leads initiatives assigned by management and coordinates teams to deliver results.
• Performs scheduling and preregistration duties including patient demographic validation, insurance benefit verification and coordination of benefits.
• Delivers a positive patient experience and resolves patient issues.
• Adheres to AHN policies and performs other duties as assigned.
