Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a supervisor in the Pre-Service Center to oversee staff, manage daily operational processes, and enhance revenue cycle performance. The role emphasizes scheduling, preregistration, insurance verification, and financial clearance while training team members.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience in a multi-physician medical practice or facility billing/business office specifically related to revenue cycle management, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree
• 3-5 years' experience in a multi-physician medical practice or facility billing/business office specifically related to revenue cycle management (including staff supervision).
• Experience operating PC and using software applications.
• Call Center experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises staff, evaluates work and monitors time; implements corrective actions and suggests improvements for productivity.
• Diagnoses and resolves root process, payer and system issues impacting revenue cycle objectives; addresses barriers.
• Organizes and leads special projects; provides formal feedback and management updates.
• Leads initiatives assigned by management; coordinates task teams and delivers results with closure.
• Performs scheduling and preregistration duties including patient demographic validation, insurance verification and coordination of benefits; ensures financial clearance and check-in processes; trains staff.
• Delivers a positive patient experience and resolves issues in a concise, informative manner.
• Adheres to organizational policies and procedures; performs other duties as required.
