Job summary

R1 RCM is seeking a Patient Access Supervisor in the United States to lead a team responsible for patient registrations, eligibility verification, and benefits validation. The role focuses on delivering fast, accurate access to care while coaching staff and driving revenue cycle performance.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize patient flow, ensure HIPAA/compliance, and mentor team members through performance evaluations.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a team of Patient Access associates, providing ongoing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback
• Ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient registrations, insurance eligibility verification, and benefits validation
• Deliver exceptional customer service by helping resolve patient concerns and escalations with professionalism and empathy
• Partner with clinical and administrative teams to maintain strong working relationships and support efficient patient flow
• Train and develop staff on workflows, policies, procedures, system enhancements, and regulatory requirements
• Monitor quality assurance metrics and ensure compliance with HIPAA, Joint Commission, and organizational standards
• Support employee performance evaluations and talent development initiatives by providing meaningful feedback and coaching
• Promote the effective use of technology, systems, and operational tools to improve efficiency and service delivery
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, quality outcomes, and the overall patient experience
