Responsibilities

• Selects and assigns department staff.
• Ensures new hires and staff are appropriately trained to perform duties.
• Coaches staff to meet quality and duties.
• Initiates coaching and performance improvement plans for staff.
• Ensures policies, quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control standards are met.
• Monitors unit productivity and staffing based on volumes to optimize resources.
• Ensures OT and productivity standards align with budget and patient volumes.
• Assists staff with complaints and process opportunities encountered by patients, physicians and staff.
• Works with billing reports to ensure accounts are cleared for billing.
