Job summary

Mount Sinai Queens seeks a Part-Time Weekend Days Supervisor for Patient Access Services to oversee frontline registration, insurance verification, and financial clearance within the hospital setting. You will guide staff performance and ensure accurate patient experiences.

You will collaborate with departments, provide coaching on customer service standards, and help maintain compliant workflows. Prior supervisory experience and EPIC familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in Patient Access or front-end revenue cycle operations within a hospital/healthcare setting.
• Working knowledge of insurance verification and financial clearance processes.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Basic leadership or team lead experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Patient Access activities to ensure timely and accurate registration, insurance capture, and documentation.
• Monitor staff productivity and quality performance; provide real-time feedback and coaching.
• Escalate operational issues, system concerns, or workflow barriers to the Manager as appropriate.
• Assist with staffing assignments and coverage to ensure adequate departmental support.
• Reinforce compliance with payer requirements, regulatory standards, and organizational policies.
• Maintain working knowledge of registration processes, insurance verification, and financial clearance workflows.
• Support compliance with HIPAA privacy and security standards.
• Ensure adherence to departmental policies, procedures, and service standards.
