Job summary

North Star Behavioral Health, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Patient Access Supervisor to oversee front desk operations and ensure smooth patient flow in Alaska's premier behavioral health facility.

The role guides Admissions and Intake, screens visitors, handles communications, and coordinates with Business Office to support timely admissions and discharges, while maintaining confidentiality and excellent patient service.

Qualifications

• High school Graduate/GED
• 2-4 years administrative experience with leadership preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Greets and screens visitors; manages front desk operations.
• Answers and routes incoming calls; maintains confidentiality.
• Assists with admission paperwork and patient documentation.
• Maintains daily cash/credit logs; supports safety programs.
• Coordinates communication between Intake, Nursing Units and Business Office.
• Ensures timely admissions and discharges; monitors MS4 entries.
• Provides administrative support to the Business Office Manager.
