You will work as part of a busy, supportive team, using healthcare software and communicating clearly with patients. Prior customer service and basic medical terminology are preferred; training is provided to ensure accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• One year of customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in healthcare registration, scheduling, insurance verification, billing, financial clearance, medical assisting, or a similar setting preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is helpful.
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software and systems.
• Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal, and critical-thinking skills.
• Healthcare experience is helpful, but strong customer service skills can be just as valuable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and families with kindness, professionalism, and excellent customer service.
• Register patients and accurately update demographic and insurance information.
• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations as applicable.
• Help patients understand estimated out-of-pocket expenses.
• Collect and process patient payments.
• Connect patients with financial counseling resources when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate information within patient registration systems.
• Provide administrative support to help keep clinic operations running smoothly.
• Work closely with clinical and administrative team members to provide an efficient, positive patient experience.
• Protect patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information with professionalism.
