Allegheny Health Network is looking for a Patient Access Specialist to manage scheduling, preregistration, and financial clearance while communicating clearly with patients about their responsibilities. You will verify benefits, obtain authorizations, and help ensure accurate bill submission while maintaining a positive patient experience.

You will interact with patients, AHN leadership, and physician offices, performing duties with accuracy and efficiency and adhering to HIPAA and privacy

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• One previous year of related experience, preferably within a medical setting or financial services.
• Experience operating a PC and using software applications.

Aufgaben

• Schedules, preregisters, validates demographics, and verifies benefits; ensures correct plan codes and COB.
• Verifies insurance information via payor contacts or online systems; flags authorization needs.
• Identifies patient financial responsibilities; estimates, collects, and posts payments in ADT.
• Delivers positive patient experience; maintains relations with patients, AHN staff, and providers.
• Supports productivity goals; suggests improvements to enhance performance.
• Complies with AHN policies and completes mandatory trainings.
